As an Alcohol and Hospitality Enforcement Officer, you supervise compliance with the Alcohol and Catering Act in the municipality of Loon op Zand. You may also be deployed in other municipalities. The work varies: on one day you may supervise a football club canteen (paracommercial activity), while on another you may inspect supermarkets and liquor stores. You also regularly visit hospitality venues and events. You observe, provide information, know the Alcohol and Catering Act thoroughly, and identify and sanction violations. After a shift, you prepare a report; a fine report may also be required. You always work with a colleague, either on foot or by car.
The shifts can be combined with your current work, including if you already work as a special investigating officer (BOA), enforcement officer or supervisor. Planners and project managers work with you to fit the shifts into your schedule. The workdays and shifts are 2 x per month on Friday or Saturday from 16:00 to 23:00.
