About the role
Picnic is looking for part-time or full-time Delivery Drivers to start immediately. You begin at the hub by loading crates into your electric Picnic van, checking your route and checking the battery. During a 3-hour shift, you normally deliver to 15-18 addresses, usually within a 10 km radius. You help customers with questions and act as the face of Picnic in the neighbourhood. At the end of the route, you drive back, hand in the van and finish your shift with a snack.
Pay and benefits
- An hourly wage of €9.98 for 18 yrs and €16.19 for 21+ yrs, including holiday pay.
- Weekly payout of salary and tips through the app. The vacancy also refers to receiving weekly salary in your bank account next week.
- Free snacks after every shift and a pizza night during “shift 4” on Friday.
- Your own electric Picnic van with Bluetooth for your playlist.
- A €200 training budget and opportunities to progress to team lead or trainer.
- A young, inclusive team where you act as a neighbourhood hero helping families.
Planning and working hours
You claim shifts in the app each week and plan your own shifts every Friday. Picnic asks for 6 fixed availability slots per week. If you can no longer work a shift, you can swap it with a colleague up to 24 hours in advance. Morning shifts are listed as 07:00-10:30 or 10:00-12:30, depending on the location. Afternoon/evening hours are listed as 14:00-16 45-19 30-22:30. You must be available for 16-40 hours per week, including regular evening or weekend shifts.
What you need
- A valid Category B driving licence and an age of at least 18 years.
- Positive energy, a customer-oriented attitude and a responsible approach.
- Enough fitness to walk a lot and lift boxes.
